Every so often, The Husband's college and high school friends take trips together. This weekend was the most recent installment of "The Conquistadors" pilgrimage around California. It was a pristine weekend, complete with a gin-inspired original drink contest (next blog), a brisk swim in Lake Hume, rain showers, fishing, beautiful families and one very dirty and tired Labrador.
